Hi! Just have some problem with all the wmv format, I can read them, but I have a "watermark" (a "play" sign at the right bottom) and even when I try to convert them, this watermark stays.. Usually I upload them on YT and then download them on mp4 format, but maybe you know a easy way ? (it must be something with the codec or don't know what, because I restart my computer a few times ago and it only happens since this :/) thank you!

Hi onetreehill23312 If you have a watermark it's already on the file you can't remove so you have to download a file with " web-dl " it's without the watermark. And I have a convert I LOVE IT. I copy all my dvd on it, I can convert video from youtube in any format, and every single file I can convert and it's free and it keeps the same quality. If you have subs you can remove or keep it, as you wish ! www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/

fluffyreed is right. If a logo or something of the sort is already on the video file its probably not going to come off. I'll keep looking and if I hear anything different I'll let you know.

Yay but this is not really a watermark, in fact it's the logo of Flip Player which I use to read my wmv format, but it appears only when I want to convert it or open it in Adobe to edit it :/ so this is not in the file :S but thank you for your answers, I appreciate it

That could be why that particular logo is there. I always use VLC to watch any files in WMV format and I never get a logo from that and it's free. www.macupdate.com/app/mac/5758/vlc-media-player

Because me, Imovie tell me like 7 hours for an episode of 45 minutes (only in HD) I don't know i fyou understand what i'm trying to tell but if you don't tell me i will reformulate ^^ Thank you !

What version of iMovie do you use? Just making sure I understand, your trying to import a 45 minute episode thats in HD format (1280x720)? I don't really import HD format files so I don't know how long it should take. If I'm understanding you correctly, I will find a file thats in HD and test it out for you and see if I can offer any help. What is your file size?

i don't really know what version I have.. but my mac is the version 10.6.8 so i guess this is the old Imovie version (i would love the new but i can't i think). Yep exactly, when I import, guess, New Girl in 1280x720 i have to wait 7 hours. In which format do you import ? Ho your proposition is sweet but i don't want to bother you. I was thinking that you import in HD. So, if you don"t import in HD how do you make HD's video ?

I usually download regular quality files and export in 480p (852x480) format (sometimes in 1280x720 but not often). It doesn't take too long for me to import an episode when its regular quality. When HD is involved it usually does take longer. If you want I can make a tutorial on my tutorial channel showing you how I export in 480p. Maybe that will help with your quality?

My Imovie looks like the first picture (my Mac is old but not that old yet lol, i did not even know this old version of Imovie exist wow !) But my father got the same version of Imove (first picture) but have a lot of more ... arhg i don't know the word... possibilities ? (like he can transform the voice over, make them ear like it's an echo), i don't have this kind of option (yay ! I found the word !) So when you post your video on YT this is not HD ? Yes I want, thank you very much !

They both came free on my Mac when I bought it Your father has iMovie 11 then. It has the same look about it but its the most recent and has a few extra editing tools. I have exported in HD sometimes but not all the time because it takes longer to export in HD than 480p. Sure thing. I'll work on it tonight and post it soon.

Don't hesitate to send me a message when your video is on YT No problem. I'm here to help as much as I can. I'm working on the export in 480p tutorial right now but I just wanted to let you know how I import as well. The episode I just imported into my iMovie is 720x406 (not HD but yet still HQ) and it was an .MP4 file. It was 275.5 MB and it only took 5 minutes to import into iMovie. Here are some stills of the quality of the episode : This is how its looks like in my iMovie. Pretty good, right? You also want to make sure when you import your screen looks like this: make sure "optimize video" is clicked and "copy files" is as well.
