Is there a way to put colourings on multiple clips at once? Because it takes so long clicking on each clip. I hope you understand what I mean as I don't think i'm being that clear

I hope you understand what I mean as I don't think i'm being that clear Unfortunately I don't know a way you can do that :( I know it takes such a long time to get it on every single clip! There is an option to copy and paste event attributes which can be a quicker way. But if you've added any other effect, or slowed down the clip etc. it'll add that too so be careful! If I find out a way to do it on multiple clips the normal long way i'll let you know!

if you're using a saved colorings what I did is; View -> plug in manager that way the saved coloring is on one of the tabs on your editing screen. So when you want to add the coloring click on the plug in manager tab, select all the clips (press on the first clip in ur video, press shift then click on the last clip in ur video) and u just drag the coloring. But however u do lose any effect u added like a glow effect and black and white effect, :/ Hope I could help

There are two ways to put a colouring on every clip instead of doing it individually one by one by either the video FX track or video FX preview output as the others have stated. TrackPreview OutputHowever, the result is different if colouring is put on everything instead on each clip. Here's the difference of the two same frames going into fade out offset. Colouring on whole track/preview output (fades quicker)Colouring on individual clip (fades smoothly)If you want a video with smooth fade outs of each clip, the second example shows that by placing them in individually. In my opinion, I use this method because even though it is time consuming, I know that I will appreciate having a smooth fade out throughout my whole video. I hope this helps!

Adjectivalfulx, I didn't know that ! Thanks but the problem when you put the coloring on the entire track the black&with is TOTALLY screwed If you want to have genuine black and white on your clips, you need to put your colouring on each clip individually with black and white placed in front of all the video FX or otherwise it will end up colourised. Here are the outcomes of both sides. Colouring on track with black and white FX to clipColouring on individual clip with black and whiteHope that helps!

Yeah i agree with Adjectivalfulx, and there is also different way to have really black and white on entire track using FX to clip First you need to add coloring you want, saved or you make one...And then add black and white at track...No at picture, scene at track... When you do that on you depend how black your coloring will be... You can movie your black and white card...Here are examples how looks before all cards with coloring and how after: Before coloring: After:

Do you have any tips for someone who has just started making their own colourings? Well what I'm starting trying out making my own colours and what I find is when I download someone else's colouring, I save the effects, so I don't have to try and make my own colour curves and stuff seeing as I'm not sure how to do that yet, then I just basically trial and error, using others effects and my own together, if that makes any sense :-S

Do you have any tips for someone who has just started making their own colourings? Hey! :D Sometimes it's a nice idea to see what sort of video fx people use in their colourings by watching tutorials and then choose what you like best and really it's trial and error with the settings you use. I personally love to use colour curves a lot, if you muck around with that video fx you can get lots of different effects. Then I also use Colour Corrector, Convolution Kernel or Sharpen and Colour Balance. They're usually my main ones :)
This is a tutorial Victoria666100 made with colouring tips :) It might help you!
