Red flash

How are the videos done I cant show an example because I cant find one but it like flashes red and then moves to the rest of the clip

you need red flashes? hmm i thought you speak about solid color ^^
it's easy to do it :

-open your vegas
-go to media generators
-solid color
-choose the red solid color and make it on your project
-make the opacity at 20%
-go to the right corner of the color and make it on the other corner

Which kind of red flash? If it's like this
at the 0:04 to 0:06
go to Sony vegas, then NewBlue Psycho Strobe and then seeing Red. Or if is not there is a translation - go to translations, dissolve, and then fade trough red. I hope it helps
