Sony Vegas crashes when opening certain projects

So I've been having a problem lately, because there's one project Sony Vegas won't let me open. Each time, I get the same message, and each time it crashes. The weird thing is that I haven't had any problems like this before (on this computer), and it only happens with the one project?? Does anyone have an idea what I can do to solve this? I put a lot of effort into this project, and as of now that all seems to have been a waste

First it stops at 8% for a looong time while opening the project, then it says "An error occured while opening the media file. What do you want to do?

Specify a replacement file. 
Ignore error and leave media offline.
Ignore this and all subsequent errors."

If I specify replacement files (this needs to be done for about half of the files I've used) it simply crashes, but if I leave the media offline, the project is useless, since everything is just black and soundless:( HELP?

Don't know if anyone's actually seen this post, but I'll try again. The error that I get now is "Warning: an error occured while loading the project file, x.veg. The item was not found." And that after I've specified a replacement file for each file used in the project.. Help??
