Promotion contest idea (opinions needed)

Hi!

So a few days ago I got this idea and it's very rough and so but I thought it'd be fun. I would call the contest "promote a vidder". The whole idea of the contest is that participants get to choose one vidder they want to promote and then for a period of time they have to dedicate themself into giving this person more subscribers. The one who manages to promote their vidder best wins. 

What do you think? Please be honest, I won't take it personally or anything.

My idea for prices would be that the one who manages to get a vidder the highest amount or percentage of subscribers will win my efforts to promote them for a period of time. And to win this contest it's simply not going to be adding a promotion video to your channel, so the amount of subscribers the promoter has shouldn't be a huge factor in if they can win or not.

I love the idea

But even if you don't just have to add a promotion video to your channel (avoiding the influence of the popularity of the participants), I can't imagine any trial where the amount of subscribers does not matter in promoting someone else ?

Are the participants goings to make some promoting vid and after that, they will be all posted from the same channel ?

Well of course the amount of subscribers will probably help as adding a promotion video will be allowed. But the things I can come up with that your amount of subscribers doesn't have any influence on is:

- Sharing on YouTube, YT has a very nice sharing option that only some vidders use, going out of their way by finding people that might be interested in this vidder doesn't require subscribers at all.
- Sharing on other websites such as twitter, facebook and ask.fm
- Trading favors with people, "if I do this for you then will you watch this vidder's videos and if you like it, subscribe?"

There are probably more things to mention that I can't come up with now! And even if a person with 5000+ subscribers win the actual contest, the real winners will be the vidders that get promoted. ^^

This sounds like a great Idea you could promote everywhere . Tumblr, blogspot, twitter, the list could go on. Great idea

Alright, I think I will pursue this idea and start this contest later than I had intended, but keep your eyes open and when I do open it it would be very nice if you could spread the word about this ♥
